My leadership experience focuses on elevating faculty toward innovation, facilitating interdisciplinary work and connecting processes to strategies in order to streamline projects. I believe an excellent academic administrator is one who supports faculty and students as they explore, research, create and study. I love solving problems and connecting academics, educators and artists.

Some of my recent academic leadership accomplishments include:

·      Overseeing strategic planning and assessment, governance policies, and unit standards

·      Overseeing curriculum, curriculum development, and catalog changes

·      Overseeing undergraduate enrollment, capacity, and scheduling

·      Collaborating and managing program, grant, and special project budgets in two currencies

·      Reviewing tenure and promotion cases university-wide

·      Working closely with the Advancement team, helping to secure over $2 million in funding for scholarships

·      Spearheading the development of 4+1 degree programs and pathways to MA degrees

·      Developing an Environmental Humanities Initiative and Climate Research Hub

·      Creating educational outreach programming and an interdisciplinary task force

·      Managing the internal merger of two large schools and played a key role in developing a new school

·      Developing the annual university-wide Open Day, open to all high school students in the country

·      Creating the data-informed Office of Student Services, to enhance retention

·      Leading a task force to develop K-12 teacher licensure state requirements to include Arts education in teacher training programs

·      Leading a team to develop state-wide K-12 curriculum and benchmarks for Arts Education
